The 55th annual Western Farm Show is slated for Feb. 26-28 at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City, Mo., and an excess of 500 exhibitors, including John Deere, is expected to take part in the event. Farming equipment, livestock demonstrations, ranch equipment and much more will all be highlighted at the show.
“The Western Farm Show not only introduces farmers and ranchers to our industry’s newest products and technologies, but also provides other attractions that are both fun and informative,” said Ken Dean, show manager. “We’re very proud to continue that tradition in 2016 as we mark the show’s 55th consecutive year.”
Some of the highlights of the show include a low-stress livestock handling demonstration, led by Texas AgriLife Extension Specialist Ron Gill, and a health and safety round-up coordinated by the Missouri Farm Bureau.
There will also be several family activities and entertainment held throughout the event. The Family Living Center will have clothing, crafts, food and home decor products for attendees. A tractor pull event hosted by the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association will host 120 competitors at the Kemper Arena.
The show hours are set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Adult admission is $8, while children under 12 will be admitted for free. All of the attractions are also free to attendees, with the exception of the tractor pull event.
