More than 8,000 residents from Martinsville, Virginia, showed up for the annual Martinsville-Henry County Christmas Parade, according to the Martinsville Bulletin.
The many youth teams and local organizations that took place in the parade were cheered on by the spectators lining the streets, as the Magna Vista High School Future Farmers of America float led the way through the town, the news source reported.
According to the Bulletin, the young farmers float was pulled by a used John Deere tractor, as the massive farm equipment easily led the blue, yellow and black decorate product through the streets of Martinsville.
First time attendee Sandra Hylton noted that the amount of effort that went into the parade was astonishing.
"It’s something they don’t have to take the time to do, but they do it for other people’s enjoyment," she told the news source. "It’s a nice thing."
The Magna Vista High School offers a plethora of courses relating to the agricultural industry, ranging from classes on forestry to machinery, according to the school's website.
