Through a new partnership, John Deere will now be the “Official On-Field Equipment Supplier of the Texas Rangers,” providing a wide range of equipment to the Major League Baseball team.
Globe Life Park, located in Arlington, Tx., will rely on the company’s machines to maintain the grounds through the 2019 season.
As a part of the deal, John Deere turf care equipment will be utilized for field maintenance and preparation. Bethany Rodarmer, marketing and advertising director of Ag-Power, commented on the deal, stating that it reflects the “exceptional regional presence and pride” that John Deere maintains in Texas.
John Deere equipment has a history of being used at facilities that require quality results. Most notably, the company donated more than $400,000 in equipment and attachments to the help those who maintain the National Mall in Washington, D.C., back in 2013. Many of the machines were geared toward helping with turf management.
"John Deere is both honored and proud to play a role in the revitalization of this iconic landscape,” said Denver Caldwell, manager of turf marketing and marketing support for John Deere, at the time of the announcement. “For more than 175 years, our company has been committed to nurturing, harvesting and beautifying the land. Today, we continue that commitment by providing the equipment to sustainably care for America's Front Yard."
Some of the equipment included in the donation were the Z925M Flex Fuel mower, Terrain Cut 8800 rotary mower, and the 1565 front mower.
