Technology in Agriculture to be focus of Kansas Ag Technologies Conference in Salina, Kansas
The use of technology in agriculture will be on display as the Kansas Ag Research and Technology Association (KARTA) and K-State Research and Extension are partnering for the 17th Annual Kansas Agricultural Technologies Conference, which will be held Jan. 23 to 24, 2014, in Salina, Kan.
According to the event website, the annual event brings hundreds of agriculture producers and industry leaders together for a two-day interactive workshop on the evolving precision agriculture industry. Attendees at this year’s conference will hear presentations from dynamic speakers on a variety of topics with regards to precision agriculture, as well an opportunity to explore vendor displays, research presentations from grant recipients, and an interactive evening discussion.
More than 120 producers, retailers, exhibitors, researchers and students attended last year’s event, and KARTA board member Lucas Haag, with K-State Research Extension, expects similar success this year thanks to an exciting agenda. “We have an exciting line-up of speakers on a number of relevant agricultural issues,” he says in a High Plains Journal article. “The conference is open to KARTA members and non-members, as well as agriculture students from all over the Midwest.”
Registration for the two-day conference is $225 per person, with meals and refreshments included. A discount of $50 is available for those who register before Jan. 10, 2014. There is also a $50 discount for KARTA members or college students.
For the 17th year, technology in agriculture will be the focus of the Kansas Agricultural Technologies Conference, an event that will feature interactive workshops and presentations according to the event website.
