Demonstrations that exhibit advancements and achievements will be featured at this year's Pennsylvania Farm Show, according to a news release.
Scheduled for January 8 through 15, the Harrisburg fair will showcase an Agricultural Technology Display competition. For that competition, Future Farmers of America chapters and regional food businesses will merge efforts as they duel in the "Keeping Pennsylvania Growing: Open for Business" contest.
"Thanks to the support of industry partners and the good work of agricultural education students from across the state, Farm Show visitors can learn about the technology that has made Pennsylvania's food processing industry more efficient and competitive," according to Russell C. Redding, agriculture secretary in Pennsylvania.
The contest, held at the Expo Hall of the Pennsylvania Farm Show complex and Expo Center, will require teams to create exhibits that inform visitors about the goals and progress of their work.
"I encourage visitors to stop by the Expo Hall to discover how agriculture is keeping Pennsylvania growing and open for business," Redding stated.
