Steve Stricker enjoyed a successful year of golf during 2011, as he won two major tournaments that helped to solidify his place as the top-ranked American golfer on the tour. According to Cyber Golf, his win at the John Deere Classic helped him build momentum for the rest of the year.

Although some people associated John Deere with tractors or iconic used farm equipment found in American cornfields, Stricker will always associate the brand with being the sponsor of a tournament that he has won twice. These victories helped to propel him to greatness in consecutive years.

According to Better.com, Stricker is looking to build upon these wins and potentially secure a Major Tournament victory in the coming year. He has his eyes set on the Masters, as the green jacket has eluded him in his career thus far.
Though he is humble about his past victories, Stricker told reporters at a press conference that he felt confident about the upcoming year.

"You look at the way I felt a year ago compared to now," Stricker said, "I’m in much better shape. Just like everybody’s job, even if they take a short vacation or something, it’s hard to get away from work, and I think golf is a good example of that, too."
