On the fringe of a straight piece of highway in Hartford, New York, a "Git-R-Done" sign rests atop a used John Deere tractor as motivation for the local high school's girls volleyball team, The Glenn Falls Post-Star reported.
The volleyball team has been receiving letters of support, emails from family across the country and has seen the signs that line the local roads and are scattered throughout the center of the town, according to the news source.
"It's amazing to see the support and it's really cool to see how the community has embraced us and to see all of the signs in town. Oh gosh, there is a lot of signs," senior hitter Morgan Mercure told the Post-Star. "I mean, the sign out front of our school, it says, ‘I'm in a HARTFORD State of Mind.'"
The news source reported that the small town is known for its agricultural heritage more than its athletic accomplishments.
The 2011 Lady Tanagers are the first volleyball team from Hartford Central High School to make the state tournament, according to the school's website.
