Recent reports show that a growing number of adults are using social networking and it would appear that farmers are taking hold of the Web 2.0 revolution as well with the Chicago Farmers Farmland Investment Fair offering a seminar in social media marketing next week.
To show just how far the farming community has come, Jeff Martin, chairman of the fair, said videos of the event will be posted on YouTube and there will be a blog about the fair appearing on the groups website.
Jeff Korhan, a blogger, internet marketer and founder of the website True Nature will be heading the seminar entitled Using Social Media Marketing to Grow Your Business.
Additional seminars at the fair will cover topics ranging from the Farm Bill update to organic farming.
The Chicago Farmers Farmland Investment Fair is this Saturday February 7th from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Joliet, Illinois. Registration is $50 by February 4th and $75 afterwards.
According to its website, the purpose of the Chicago Farmers is to provide a forum for education and exchange of information between its members and members of the agricultural industry.
