From people wanting to take care of their lawns to larger operations that feed the country, a tractor can come in handy for a number of purposes.
One of those includes taking care of golf courses. One man who plays the links professionally recently took some of his winnings and purchased a custom-made John Deere tractor.
Louis Oosthuizen was crowed the winner of the British Open this year, which netted him roughly $1.3 million. With some of that cash, the 27-year-old South African bought the new piece of farm equipment.
"I bought the tractor for my farm. Being a farm boy it was one of my big dreams," Oosthuizen said.
Naturally, most people don't have the kind of cash earned in a golf tournament, which means they may have to be a bit more modest when it comes to buying a machine.
That may be why a used tractor is chosen by some consumers, as it can come with a price that is more affordable. However, consumers should make sure they deal with reputable sellers, as not doing so could lead to them buying a piece of stolen equipment.
