John Deere announced the release of the 700K SmartGrade crawler dozer on March 1, which is geared toward improving jobsite accuracy and quality of work. The machine has a Topcon 3D-MC2 Grade Control System, which delivers precise grading performance.
"By combining the power of Topcon technology with the John Deere track load sensing system, the SmartGrade dozer offers an easy to setup, highly productive grading machine intended for road building, site development and residential building customers," said Liz Quinn, product marketing manager of John Deere WorkSight.
"The 700K SmartGrade dozer is a purpose-built machine that is ready to work the moment it leaves the dealership, and the complete system is sold and fully supported by the world-class John Deere dealer network."
The SmartGrade technology is integrated into the 700K, which eliminates the need to install equipment daily. This reduces setup time for operators, giving them more opportunity to focus on the job.
After-market systems typically require operators to recalibrate the system before moving from one soil type to another. With the Auto SmartGrade feature, customers can adjust the system while moving the machine. Auto SmartGrade also automatically lifts the blade of the machine over heavy loads, which helps prevent track slippage out in the field.
John Deere WorkSight can be used with the 700K SmartGrade crawler dozer to take advantage of the Ultimate Uptime feature. This technology gives operators access to remote diagnostics and machine health prognostics.
