North Carolina State University has announced that experts from the school will discuss the growing and managing of turfgrass at this year's North Carolina Turfgrass Conference and Show later this month.
The Conference, to be held January 26th through the 29th, is intended to be an educational and networking event for professionals in the turfgrass industry.
According to the Turfgrass Council of North Carolina the conference attracts people from all aspects of the turfgrass industry, with 38 percent of attendees being golf and turf professionals and another 34 percent working in lawn and landscaping turf.
Presentations at the conference will focus on topics from disease to weed and insect control.
The conference will be held at the Hilton North Raleigh in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Events at the conference will cover topics by NC State experts including golf, sports and athletic turf, lawncare and landscaping, and others.
One session at the event will be entitled New Ideas from Successful Gold Course Superintendents and will feature Pat O'Brien and Chris Hatwiger from the U.S. Golf Association's Green Section.
The USGA's Green Section is the nation's chief authority on information on turfgrass management.
