Jim Rinne grew up on a farm in Beaufort, Missouri, and it was on this plot of land where he acquired two of his biggest passions in life, according to the Missourian.
Rinne became an avid toy tractor collector at a young age, and although he is now 66 years old, the Beaufort resident continues to add to his massive collection. John Deere models remain his favorite, as he also owns several antique tractors, the news source reported.
Though he spends a significant amount of time riding around on his real pieces of used farm equipment, Rinne has not let his age stop him from increasing the size of his toy tractor collection.
"It blossomed from there," Rinne told the Missourian about his hobby, which began at a young age. "With the one I bought Saturday, I am up to 625, not including duplicates."
Rinne took his hobby to the next level, as he and his wife now attend the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville, Iowa. This event features participants of all ages from around the country, according to the event website.
