MICO Inc, a Southern Minnesota manufacturer of hydraulic brake valves, has been recognized by John Deere for the high level of its service, equipmentworld.com reports.
The North Mankato-based business was bestowed the honor of partner-level supplier for 2010. The honor came as part of the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program, granted for the company's products and service, and also for its commitment to continuously improving its strong record of service.
MICO company officials accepted the honor at a formal ceremony in Moline, Illinois on March 1. The components that MICO manufactures are vital cogs on farm equipment that is later on display and sold at John Deere dealerships.
The Waterloo, Iowa John Deere agricultural operation plant is one beneficiary of products generated by MICO. The John Deere construction and forestry operation plant in Davenport, Iowa benefits from hydraulic brake valves and controls supplied by MICO.
The John Deere Achieving Excellence program judges performance categories such as quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and responsiveness when deciding where partner-level status recognition belongs. Since 1991, Deere has been honoring its partner companies with the honor.
