A Maryland town will celebrate an annual tradition that relates to the agriculture industry, as people from all over will attend a parade to celebrate the area's heritage, according to the Maryland Beachcomber.
The 13th annual Blessing of the Combines will take place in Snow Hill, Marylad, and the family friendly event will feature a parade of the massive agricultural machines, the news source reported.
Local residents and farmers from all over Maryland will bring their machines to be paraded around the town to celebrate the coming of the fall harvest. Jon Mollerup and his son Owen were able to ride on a John Deere combine in the event last year, and are planning to attend this years festivities, reported the Beachcomber.
"It started as away to honor the farmers of Worcester County," Kathy Fisher, one of the event organizers, told the news source. "It's a family-friendly, laid-back celebration of agriculture life in and around Snow Hill."
John Deere combines and grain harvesters come in five new models, including the S550, S660, S670, S680 and S690, according to the company website.
