A historical society in Maine will put on a show that will feature antique cars and used tractors.
According to the Morning Sentinel, the Sidney Historical Society event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 7 at the Silver Spur Riding club. Registration for the event will be held during its first three hours and will cost participants $5 per entry.
"There will be many antique autos and tractors as well as engines and lawn mowers on display," the newspaper said.
The machines will be divided into a number of categories, including what type of vehicle they are and the decade in which they were produced. Awards will be granted to the used tractors and cars voted as best in show.
These types of displays are common in small towns across the country, which often open their downtown areas to old muscle cars and other vehicles. Along with giving area residents a chance to get out, the shows often benefit local charities and organizations.
