John Deere has announced a new self-repair solution designed to help customers remotely download secure software updates to their 4G-compatible John Deere agricultural equipment.
The Equipment App, available free on both IOS and Android, gives customers complete visibility into the availability of updates for their John Deere products. After logging into their John Deere account, customers can select specific products to update and remotely check the installation status. This update follows the March 2022 announcement that enabled customers to purchase Customer Service ADVISOR directly from John Deere.
This app is the next step toward providing John Deere customers with a more streamlined self-repair experience. The app also connects customers with John Deere Operations Center™. The Operations Center™ is an online farm management system that enables customers to manage their farm operations more efficiently and cost-effectively.
In addition to managing software updates through the operations center, customers can access other relevant customer maintenance and repair information, including operator’s manuals, warranties, and product improvement programs. Pairing an upgraded self-repair solution with a comprehensive farm management system opens up new possibilities for John Deere customers.
“This is the latest example of how John Deere continues to lead by innovating, developing, and bringing to market the latest solutions that help our customers maximize uptime and be more productive, efficient, and sustainable in their operations,” said Luke Gakstatter, senior vice president for Aftermarket & Customer Support.
But to take advantage of the Equipment App's features, customers must own 4G-connected John Deere products. Contact your local John Deere dealer today to learn more about our complete line of 4G-connected farming products.
