To cater to the needs of agricultural professionals seeking more precision during tillage, John Deere has rolled out TruSet™ Active tillage technology. Starting with the model year 2024, TruSet Active will come as base equipment on select tillage tools. This product leverages a sensor positioned on the main frame to continuously check the working depth and field conditions while in operation.
“This is another example of John Deere automation that is relieving a decision point an operator would have had to previously make on their own,” said Ryan Jardon, marketing manager for John Deere. “For the first time in the history of tillage, when using TruSet Active, a farmer can automatically verify and know their tillage tool is adjusting for changing field conditions.” TruSet Active sets the highest of standards for precise implementation depth control by providing accurate and consistent depth control even as field conditions change.
Agricultural producers risk tires, shanks, and disks sinking into wet soil during tillage without TruSet Active. They may also run into issues if mud builds up on tires and the working depth moves higher than necessary. TruSet Active prevents these issues from occurring, giving operators peace of mind while working out in the field.
“A TruSet Active tillage documentation map shows farmers exactly how deep they were tilling,” Jardon added. “Tillage depth has never been able to be measured this precisely before, and farmers can capture and upload this data into the John Deere Operations Center to share with trusted advisors or for analysis after the work is completed.”
The first TruSet Active tools will be available for order beginning in February 2023. More information on all John Deere has to offer can be found by contacting your local Deere dealer or visiting www.Deere.com.
