A Christmas parade in St. George, Ontario, featured elaborate floats and decorative sleds that were pulled by used John Deere tractors, as many Canadians braved the extreme cold to attend the event, according to the Brantford Expositor.
The news source reported that the 45-minute parade weaved its way through town as the local children raced to keep up with the variety of floats and vehicles that were traversing the icy roads.
According to the Expositor, the children were asking Santa for Christmas presents and updating their lists as they ran alongside his sleigh, which was pulled by a John Deere tractor.
"I liked the John Deere tractor pulling a float," Ethan Ringelberg, a six-year-old resident told the news source, noting he asked Santa for a remote control tractor.
According to Brant News, the family event was held for the 20th straight year, as local firefighters, policemen and other town workers helped to set up the parade and made sure that plenty of blankets and warm beverages were provided to visitors.
