Authorities in Iredell County, North Carolina, are searching for the individual who is responsible for stealing a John Deere tractor and a spray tank in Mooresville, WBTV3 Statesville reported.
The theft occurred between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., as the victim of the crime was not present at his residence. Two white males were reported to have been on the premises the week before the crime, according to the news source.
Deputies reported that the green and yellow John Deere Model 5425 that was fitted with a front-end loader and attached forks was stolen from a field located at 371 Juniper Road, the news outlet reported.
The suspect is thought to have headed north towards Rowan County after fleeing the field from which he stole the vehicle. Along with the tractor that was taken, the victim mentioned that he thought the criminal also attempted to steal his 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, reported WBTV3.
John Deere tractors are available in a variety of new models, as several of the vehicles come with front-end loaders and fork attachments, according to the company website.
