A Streator, Illinois resident decided to help a grieving family get through a horrific accident by donating a John Deere tractor to lead the funeral procession for the young boy, according to the Streator Times.
The family of Keaton S. Osland had dealt with the sudden and accidental death of their son, as the two-year-old was found dead in the swimming pool at their Streator, Illinois residence in the past week. Authorities noted that the child had made his way out of the house undetected, the news source reported.
A local dealership decided to provide the Osland family with a tractor that could lead the procession for the young boy. The child had been interested in the farm equipment of the John Deere company, and the donation served to symbolize the interests of Keaton, reported The Times.
John Deere products may become associated with the agricultural lifestyle of many Midwestern U.S. towns. The variety of tractors and personal mowers that the farm equipment company sells may help area residents with their personal and commercial needs, according to the business's website.
