At this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show, John Deere has announced that it will be showcasing its latest precision solutions for construction industry professionals. These include object detection technology and an advanced vision system. The 2023 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show will be held in Las Vegas, Nev.
John Deere’s next generation of production-class and utility-class loaders was designed with operator visibility and awareness in mind. Now, these machines will come equipped with features such as Object Detection technology. With a high-resolution camera and display, this solution increases situational awareness for operators. The technology can overlay the projected reverse path of the vehicle to show its next move.
With the Advanced Vision System, two digital cameras on the equipment’s side-view mirror frames offer more visibility to operators. In addition, an integrated view of all the cameras can be accessed from the cab display. In turn, users gain more spatial awareness and clarity.
Deere is also rolling out SmartDetect™ and SmartDetect with Assist. Using machine learning and cameras, SmartDetect™ gives operators a better view of their work zone. Additionally, the system is designed to alert users whenever an object enters a machine’s operating path. The technology ensures that the equipment stops before encountering a person.
The SmartWeigh system will also be exhibited at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show. This technology assists with bucket weighing and is designed to reduce the need to raise and lower the boom frequently. The Auto Level technology that is new to the P-Tier and X-Tier wheel loaders also now limits bucket and fork adjustments.
The 2023 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show is slated to take place between March 14 and March 18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The John Deere Silver Lot outdoor booth is #S5020, while the company’s indoor booth is W40844. For more information on John Deere machinery and solutions, contact your local John Deere dealer.
