John Deere Sprayers Now Present in Eighty Percent of Ag Retailer Fleets
Building upon year over year growth, John Deere sprayers are now present in the lots of 80% of agriculture retailer fleets thanks to superior dealer service and new models. This is according to results of the 30th annual “CropLife 100” survey.
Up until this year, John Deere sprayers had traditionally been present in the 70% range of agriculture retailer fleets, but a 6% improvement in 2013 propelled this number over the 80% barrier. Looking forward to 2014, this number could continue to increase, as 57% of those polled in the CropLife survey plan to buy John Deere sprayers in 2014.
There are two main reasons why more than half of respondents plan to buy Deere sprayers in 2014; superior dealer service and new, technologically improved models. According to this year’s survey, John Deere was perceived as the leader among manufacturers in service at the dealer level (40%), with second place standing at 28%.
Additionally, at their 2014 Product Introduction, Deere unveiled two new self-propelled sprayers that feature new booms, integrated technologies, and more options. Brea Harms, product line manager for John Deere application equipment, says about the new sprayers in a press release, "From front to back, we've made these new sprayers more durable, productive and comfortable, enabling producers and ag service providers to cover more acres quickly. The latest application technologies have been built into these sprayers, further enabling accurate, timely application."
The CropLife 100 survey results show John Deere sprayers are becoming more visible on the lots of agriculture retailers thanks to top-of-the-line machines and superior service at the dealer level, and are poised for increased growth in 2014.
