John Deere will be one of the exhibitors taking part in the 2018 SC AgriBiz and Farm Expo, to be hosted January 17 through January 18 at the Florence Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina. This year will be the sixth annual event, and speaking sessions will be held during both days.
The SC AgriBiz and Farm Expo was established to address all things related to agriculture and agribusiness. Attendees will be able to enjoy exhibitions from companies, including John Deere, and each one will feature a wide variety of farm equipment. Innovations in agriculture, educational sessions and agricultural activities are all a part of this event.
The event will kick off with a Farmer Appreciation Breakfast on January 17 at 8 a.m. It will be followed up with a general session on the future of agriculture, and attendees will have the rest of the day to explore seminars on their own. Some of the speakers taking part in the event include Dr. Nathan Smith of Clemson University, Buz Kloot of USC and Kathy McCaskill of McCaskill Farms. Mary Kay Thatcher of the American Farm Bureau will also be on hand to provide information on the Farm Bill.
The topics being addressed at the sessions include soil health, agricultural outlook, the next generation of farmers, and produce safety.
Admission to this event is free, but tickets to some events, such as the Commissioner’s Breakfast, can be purchased ahead of time at scagribizexpo.com.
