For the 2012 tillage season, John Deere is offering three new 2600 Series Disks and one new vertical tillage tool to attach to farm equipment for maximum performance, according to Midwest Producer.
The news source reported that the new series works with new and used John Deere tractors and helps to provide more muscle for penetrating, chopping and mixing soil and crop residue in a single pass of the equipment.
"The new 2600 Series allows customers to match the right tillage tool — from a one-pass primary tillage disk to a seedbed finisher — while giving them plenty of versatility and years of durable performance," Patrick Sikora, marketing manager at John Deere Des Moines Works, told the Producer.
The news source reported that the disks come in a variety of sizes and the corresponding length can be adjusted for the size of the farm equipment that they are attached to.
According to the John Deere website, tillage tools can be used to help balance weed and pest management needs, chemical and nutrient incorporation, compaction management, seedbed preparation and residue management.
