JDLink™ remains a cornerstone of John Deere's products to its customers, and now, the company is offering it at no additional charge. With JDLink, operators can activate the connectivity service to manage equipment via the John Deere Operations Center, no matter where they are.
"Connectivity is critical for today's farms, and no other company offers better agronomic and machine connectivity than John Deere," said Jennifer Badding, manager, precision ag for John Deere. "Linking customers to their work, results, teams, advisors, equipment, dealer, and John Deere is important, and we're making connectivity simple. This way, customers can focus on their farms with less worry about connecting several different machines or managing multiple subscriptions."
Customers can now activate the service from the Operations Center. With a few easy steps, they can begin monitoring their machines and their land in its entirety. JDLink includes machine and agronomic data sharing, in addition to all of the features within the Operations Center.
Those who have existing JDLink subscription service agreements in place have the option to convert them to the new connectivity service at any time. There is no additional charge for them to take advantage of the option.
"Previously for each machine, customers had to choose the right subscription, timeframe, and price. Activations took many steps and each subscription renewal had to be separately managed," Badding explained. "Because of the extra steps required, some customers let their subscriptions lapse or they passed on the opportunity to connect their machines. As a result, these customers have been missing out on the value of Connected Support and precision agriculture."
