In an effort to help customers maintain and operate their riding lawn equipment, John Deere introduced a new smartphone application on March 16 called MowerPlus. Available for both iOS and Android devices, the app allows users to optimize the use of their equipment and track maintenance needs.
“Mowing the lawn is so much more than just making tall grass short,” said Kevin Duax, product line planner of John Deere. “With our MowerPlus app, homeowners can easily refer to expert tips and historical data to ensure efficient and effective lawn upkeep.”
In the iOS version of the app, users can use the “Mow Now” feature to track mowing metrics and view a summary of the latest mowing season. Additionally, individuals can access an aerial view of their mowing path. This allows mowers to diversify their paths in order to maintain the health of their lawns.
In the Android version of MowerPlus, users can review model-specific information for set-up, maintenance and operation. There is also a place available to store serial numbers and dealer contact information directly on the app.
MowerPlus offers region-specific seasonal timeline data. This means that users always have up-to-date, climate-relevant information at their fingertips while operating their John Deere equipment. Additionally, MowerPlus can be integrated with the Apple Watch for even more use on the go.
