John Deere Lawn Tractor Fundraiser Contributes to Breast Cancer Research
JD Equipment Inc. recently presented a check of $28,000 to the Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research based on an annual fundraiser of John Deere Select Series lawn tractors. This is according to a recent article from the Fayette Advocate.
JD Equipment, a family-owned business in Ohio, has emerged as Ohio’s largest John Deere dealer during its 30-year existence; the company presented a check to the Spielman Fund for the second straight year during the annual Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.
According to the Fayette Advocate, the $28,000 donation driven by the sales of John Deere lawn tractors is just a fraction of the overall donations JD Equipment has made throughout the years. The company donated a total of $741,328 to support various agricultural organizations, including a $280,119 donation, which went to schools and educational support.
JD Equipment CEO Jeff Mitchell says in the article, “Making sure that kids who are interested in agriculture have ample opportunities to participate and learn from ag programs is a responsibility we have taken upon ourselves.”
The sale of John Deere lawn tractors was the driving force behind the $28,000 donation made to the Spielman Fund for Cancer Research by JD Equipment. The family-owned dealership continues to make charitable donations benefiting a wide-range of agricultural organizations.
