To better meet their customers’ evolving demands, John Deere has developed a Performance Tiering Strategy to deliver a range of products at different levels of capability, beginning with the wheel loader lineup. The Performance Tiering Strategy will also move away from the traditional series letter designations, providing three tiers of machines – G, P, and X – instead.
“Every job site is unique, and customers want machine solutions that can be personalized to meet their diverse needs, including performance, price, and comfort,” said Jason Daly, global director, production systems, technology, and marketing, John Deere. “By offering three tiers, customers can move up or down the spectrum to find the right mix of features, performance, and innovation for their business and application.”
P-tier models will produce at high levels and have advanced features for exceptional performance and efficiency. G-tier models will be practically equipped and economical, while X-tier models will be built with the most innovative John Deere technology and features.
The 444-724 P-tier pieces of equipment will have a redesigned cab, standard parallel lift Z-bar loader linkage, a high-lift plus option, electrohydraulic controls, and dual return-to-dig settings. The 644 X-tier will have E-drive technology, while the 644 G-tier will be equipped with an all-new cab design for operator comfort and productivity.
John Deere X and P machines are now available for purchase in the U.S. and Canada, while the 644G machine is available in Canada and other global markets. Contact your local John Deere dealer to learn more today.
