John Deere has joined more than 350 companies displaying their products and services at the 35th annual Indiana-Illinois Farm and Outdoor Power Equipment Show, held Dec. 17-19 in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
According to an AgriNews article, this year’s show has sold out all 170,000 square feet of exhibit space, where area farmers will have an opportunity to see some of the latest trends in agriculture first-hand. Show manager, Richard Sherman, said about this year’s show in the article, “Farmers will see more in-cab displays, more creature comforts inside the cabs and design control changes that make it easier to operate today’s high-tech machinery.”
As highlighted by a Hoosier Ag today story, John Deere will be showcasing several products, as well as updates coming for their 7R and 8R series tractors. Jarrod McGinnis, a division marketing manager, said about the updates, “Both versions of the tractor will have a new CommandView™ III Cab. Some new things inside that cab would be a new CommandCenter. All of the settings and everything to do with the tractor is on there. It also has some of our AMS functionality in it like AutoTrac can be in there, or they could run that on a separate display if they wanted. We also have 40 degrees of right hand seat swivel so that seat can swivel and as they look behind them on those long days there’s less cranking of the neck and less twisting of the back.”
John Deere has joined hundreds of exhibitors at the 2013 Indiana-Illinois Farm and Outdoor Power Equipment Show to put their latest products and services on display for area farmers.
