John Deere has announced that the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has recognized its Gator™ XUV835 and Gator XUV865 with an AE50 Award for 2018.
The award is typically given to companies to highlight their innovative designs in product engineering in the food and agricultural industry. ASABE is an international scientific and educational group specifically dedicated to advancing engineering in the field.
These two Deere products were originally introduced in 2017 with customers’ comfort in mind. Not only are they made for all-day use, but they have the ability to work efficiently on off-road terrain, making them useful year-round.
The Gator XUV835 is gas powered, while the Gator XUV865 is diesel powered. Both products have a quiet cab, three-wide seating, and heating and air conditioning to maximize comfort.
"When designing the new Gator utility vehicles, customer comfort was top of mind," said Tim Ulschmid, project engineer for Gator Utility vehicles. "The XUV835 and XUV865 provide ample room for three-across seating and offer our quietest and most comfortable cab with heating and cooling for year-round weather protection."
Ulschmid adds that both the XUV835 and XUV865 combine versatility, durability and comfort into products that can take on all weather conditions.
