Taking customer feedback into consideration, John Deere has developed four new utility models for its L-Series Wheel Loader lineup. The 444L, 644L, 644L Hybrid, and 724L all incorporate customer-driven improvements to increase productivity and efficiency on the job.
These new wheel loaders have more horsepower than the previous K-Series models, and also feature a redesigned Z-Bar loader linkage – this provides more visibility to the front attachment and near parallel lift. Additionally, the 724L hinge pin height on the standard Z-Bar has been enhanced three inches compared to the K-Series machine. This means more clearance when dumping into hoppers and trucks.
The new cabs of the four-wheel loaders come with more functional storage, durable seats, and an improved HVAC system. Customers can opt for either the standard or premium cab to suit their specific needs. The standard comes with an air suspension seat, while the premium is equipped with a heated and ventilated heavy-duty air suspension seat.
A single-lever hydraulic joystick control with an ergonomically designed grip makes maneuvering the new wheel loaders a breeze. It comes with a standard forward-neutral-reverse switch, as well as two multifunction buttons that can be programmed to control 10 different functions.
“The new L-Series Wheel Loader line is a culmination of customer feedback, industry-leading innovation, and versatile machines that are made to perform in a variety of applications,” said Grant Van Tine, product marketing manager for wheel loaders. “Our customers expect machines that work as hard as they do. Having machines that are designed to improve productivity, provide all-day comfort and perform reliably day in and day out, makes all the difference.”
