John Deere has introduced a new nozzle control system for sprayers called ExactApply™, and it will be available on all John Deere 4-Series Sprayers, starting with the 2018 models.

With John Deere ExactApply, sprayer operators will have a wide range of speed options, as well as consistent droplet size and pattern during use. The product is also designed to reduce the potential for skips, drift, and overlaps during spraying.

"The new ExactApply system was developed for producers and ag service providers who seek a higher level of control of product applications, especially improved application efficacy and accuracy in all field shapes and sizes," said Doug Felter, product marketing manager of crop protection and nutrient solutions.

John Deere ExactApply gives users the ability to switch spraying between two pre-selected nozzles with the push of a button. There is also the option to automatically vary the rate across the entire boom. This ensures that the correct amount of material is applied to the right area of the field.

"Another important feature with the ExactApply is John Deere's Pulse Width Modulation system that offers three times the pulsing frequency of traditional PWM systems on a wide variety of nozzles," Felter continued. "This allows the sprayer to run at a consistent pressure and droplet size, regardless of the sprayer speed and application flow rate, for improved spray coverage across the entire field."

The John Deere ExactApply can be used with all boom sizes equipped with stainless steel plumbing. It is also compatible with the GreenStar™ 2630 Display and SprayStar™ systems for precision management.
