According to a recent PRWeb press release, a franchise of U.S. Lawns (a commercial landscape company) in Hampton, VA, has partnered with PAPCO, a highly respected energy supplier to convert their fleet of John Deere commercial lawnmowers over to propane-powered models.
John Deere dealer, East Coast Equipment, formed a partnership with U.S. Lawns in Hampton Roads to convert their 16-mower fleet to propane being leased by PAPCO to strive towards “greener” energy usage. As part of the conversion process, PAPCO General Manager Peter Ryan conducted four 30-minute sessions of Propane 101 Training for U.S. Lawns’ employees.
PAPCO Sales Consultant, Richard Reddington, said in the press release, "We are very excited about our partnership with U.S. Lawns to fulfill their goal of converting to safe, clean-burning propane. We look forward to helping them keep the grass greener in Hampton Roads.”
U.S. Lawns encourages franchisees to be mindful of water conservation, minimize waste, protect natural habitats and promote plant health and longevity. Ken Hutcheson, president of U.S. Lawns, added, “U.S. Lawns franchisees continue efforts to convert equipment to greener fuels in locations around the country. We have strived to be a green company, before ‘green’ was a buzz word. We seek to create a more sustainable planet; because quality of life makes all of our lives better.”
As energy efficiency and cleaner fuel continues to play an increased role in everyday life, partnerships and conversions like we’ve seen impacting these John Deere commercial lawnmowers in Hampton, VA., will likely become more prevalent.
