According to a recent company press release, John Deere has expanded its front mower models line-up with the new 1500 Series TerrainCut Front Mowers, designed to provide comfort and versatility for landscaping and governmental operations.
The series will be added to the existing front mower line-up and includes five new models – the 1550, 1570, 1575, 1580, and 1585 TerrainCut. With improved performance, comfort, and versatility, the Final Tier 4 compliant machines maximize production and minimize operating costs.
Carl Agee, John Deere product manager, said, “The new 1500 Series TerrainCut offers an industry-exclusive, factory installed ComfortCab for climate-controlled comfort and improved ergonomic controls for ease of use. Ideal for governmental, institutional, and commercial landscape operations, the 1500 Series is a productive and versatile Final Tier 4 emissions solution."
The 1570, 1575, 1580, and 1585 TerrainCut models incorporate 37.4 horsepower engines while the 1550 features a 24.2 horsepower engine. All 1500 series TerrainCut models have the option of include a 60-inch by 72-inch Iron PRO side discharge deck or 62-inch by 72-inch FASTBACK rear discharge deck.
The 1550 and 1570 models are available with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive that will automatically engage and disengage to keep operations productive. The 1580 and 1585 models come standard with four-wheel drive and 2-speed transmission to provide more efficient speeds when transporting and utilizing implements.
Features included in the new series will provide increased uptime to better assist during operations. With the ability blow snow, clean streets, and to cut grass in even the toughest weather conditions, the 1500 Series aims to provide versatility in all situations.
