John Deere is now collaborating with AGTEK to work on more 3D digital models and GPS technology projects for its customers. Together, the companies will strive to increase efficiency and enhance the modeling process on job sites.

The end goal is to help John Deere dealers support their clients as they look to integrate grade-control software into their machinery.

"John Deere customers can simply contact their dealer to support the takeoff process, which allows the customer to be more competitive,” said BJ Bauman, instructor of John Deere WorkSight. “File conversions are also easily formatted to support SmartGrade demos with existing Trimble or Leica users. The AGTEK solution aligns with our open architecture approach to grade control management as it's capable of ingesting any 3D environment format."

AGTEK is behind Earthwork 4D, the site modeling technology that allows users to document fields across a wide range of machinery, including those used for construction. Earthwork 4D utilizes internet keys, which allows users work remotely with their equipment.

"Collaborating with AGTEK allows our dealers to work closely with their customers to support the whole grade control workflow process,” Bauman continued. “This includes cut and fill maps, demo models and state-of-the-art 3D views of their project."
