John Deere announced on April 8 that it would be updating its ejector scraper line with two-and four-wheel tire options to provide more versatility to earthmoving contractors. Additionally, the company revealed that it is enhancing its 9R/9RT Scraper Special Series Tractor lineup and adding a new model.
The 1612DE, 2010DE, 2014DE and 2412DE will be upgraded on the ejector line, while the 9620R is set to join the scraper tractor series lineup. The 9620R will be the largest model to date.
A Look at the Ejector Scraper Enhancements
The two-tire option for the 1612DE, 2010DE, 2014DE and 2412DE allows for higher productivity and less wear. Additionally, it reduces rolling resistance and drag, which can potentially lower costs per cubic yard.
The single 60 mm hitch pin, Quik Attach Hitch and integrated push block on all of the scrapers make them easy for operators to use. Now, the ejector scrapers can help contractors move dirt for one-third the initial investment with half the labor.
Upgrades to the Scraper Tractor Line
The 9R/9RT Scraper Special Series Tractor lineup will be enhanced to offer more horsepower while saving fuel for the utmost efficiency. The 9570R, 9570RT and 9620R feature a Cummins QSX15 Final Tier 4 diesel engine, and the 9470R, 9470RT, 9520R and 9520RT are outfitted with the John Deere PowerTech 13.5L PSS Final Tier 4 engine.
A HydraCushion suspension is integrated into all 9R series wheel scraper tractors to eliminate road lope associated with high transport speeds. Additionally, the machines have Efficiency Manager. This technology automatically adjusts and matches the performance of the engine and transmission to maintain ground speed with the lowest RPMs. Efficiency Manager reduces the operator’s overall fuel consumption for more savings.
Each of these new pieces of John Deere equipment will likely increase productivity, uptime, and lower operating costs in earthmoving applications.
