John Deere has announced the new John Deere 3154/3156G and 3754/3756G swing machines for loading and processing wood. As a part of the G-Series, John Deere intends to distinguish the crawler log loaders using 56 in the model name. Forestry excavators will continue to have “54” in their titles.
The G-Series swing machines have completely redesigned cabs, which are equipped to provide operators with the utmost comfort. They are also more spacious and include heightened window clarity, ergonomic controls, and isolation mounting.
The 3154G and 3754G machines have a side-entry cab, while the 3156G and 3756G models include elevated rear-entry cabs. They are all specifically designed for safe and easy entry and exit.
"At John Deere, we understand that operator comfort is vital to productivity, particularly during long days on the job," said Dave McFarlane, product marketing manager at John Deere Construction & Forestry. "When developing the new G-Series swing machines, we focused on improving operator comfort and safety, creating a more spacious cab and increasing visibility. We feel these improvements will raise the bar for operator expectations in the industry."
The G-Series machines also have undercarriage improvements, including larger lower rollers and a longer track frame option on the 3754G and 3756G machines. In addition, the 3756G has integrated hydraulic plumbing for Waratah processing heads. All of the G-Series machines work with the JDLink™ machine monitoring system and remote diagnostics for ultimate operator control.
