John Deere announced on May 7 that it would be adding the 210G LC excavator to its G-Series lineup, which includes more than a dozen excavator machines. The 210G has a Final Tier 4 engine and meets today’s emission standards for the utmost in power and sustainability.
"With powerful digging force, swing torque, and lift capacities that make the most of every gallon of fuel, the 210G LC is an exceptional excavator for any fleet," said Mark Wall, excavator product marketing manage of John Deere Construction & Forestry.
The 210G LC’s Final Tier 4 John Deere PowerTech PVS 6.8L engine has 159 hp and can go 15,000 hours before it needs ash removal. Additionally, it has a larger hood for easy access to the engine, and it has a nine-pin diagnostic connector for quicker diagnosis of any internal problems.
The machine has sensor mounting brackets that are welded to the boom, arm, dogbone, counterweight and mainframe, which allows for the immediate installation of Topcon, Trimble or other reference systems. It also has a programmable thumb attachment mode to program oil flow.
"Outside of emissions updates, we've added a few new features to better serve our customers, including an optional auxiliary function lever,” Wall continued. “The AFL is a joystick switch option that provides proportional control for auxiliary hydraulic attachments that will improve productivity on the jobsite."
The 210G LC excavator also comes with Ultimate Uptime featuring John Deere WorkSight. This means that operators will have three years of JD Link telematics, machine health prognostics, remote diagnostics and programming capabilities with their new machine.
