John Deere has introduced the 2430 Chisel Plow and 2430C Nutrient Applicator, specifically designed to improve precision and productivity for producers on the job.
The 2430 Chisel Plow provides enhanced soil-breaking and leveling performance, which can help while working in rocky or wet field conditions. It is specially designed to take on rugged soil and heavy crop residue, while simultaneously providing customers with more control over tillage depth and seedbed finish.
"The new 2430 Chisel Plow builds on many important features of the 2410 Chisel Plow," says Jarred Karnei, product marketing manager for John Deer tillage equipment. "This includes the addition of John Deere's exclusive TruSet depth and down pressure control system on base equipment and a wide choice of ground-engaging points, spacings and attachments that allow customers to configure the implement to best fit their field-specific soil and residue conditions."
The TruSet system gives operators depth control in 1/10-inch increments across the full width of the 2430 Chisel Plow and 2430 Nutrient Applicator as well. TruSet provides up to 900 psi down-pressure control of rolling baskets, and operators get up to four settings that can be adjusted for various field conditions on the go.
The 2430 Chisel Plow comes in several different sizes and configurations, depending on the customer’s needs.
“Like the 2410 Chisel Plows, the new 2430 models are built using high-strength steel tubing that provides the superior structural integrity customers have come to expect from John Deere chisel plows," Karnei says.
