As a part of its nationwide television segment focused on agricultural equipment, U.S. Farm Report has featured JD Equipment in London, Ohio. In the first “On the Road with Machinery Pete” episode, local John Deere equipment dealers gathered to speak with U.S. Farm Report hosts and Farm Journal’s Used Equipment Expert Greg Peterson.
Some of the episode was filmed at the JD Equipment Annual Ag Auction, which took place on Dec. 5. Approximately 500 people attended the event, which featured more than 125 pieces of farm equipment.
Ted Miller, used equipment director of JD Equipment, and John Griffith, general manager of JD Equipment, were both on hand to discuss agriculture with Peterson and U.S. Farm Report Host Clinton Griffiths.
Other topics addressed on the show were the Farm Bill, the price drop of grain, and the progress of winter auctions.
“Farmers were wondering if there were going to be some really good buys out there,” said Peterson in the segment. “We’re seeing some fairly surprising prices.”
Amarillo, Tx. will be the upcoming stop for the U.S. Farm Report team, where they will examine the agriculture industry from the perspective of Texas and Oklahoma farmers.
“On the Road with Machinery Pete” originally aired on Ohio local stations on Saturday, Jan. 16. The segment can now be found online at www.agweb.com.
