The 30th annual Peoria, Illinois, Farm Show was held at the Peoria Civic Center, as farmers from around the state came to check out the latest industry trends and John Deere farm equipment, according to the Peoria Journal Star.
Technology like vehicle simulators and computerized controls helped these farmers examine the latest products from agricultural companies like John Deere.
"There's so much technology these days," a local farmer told the news source. "It's good to have the opportunity to see the latest developments in this industry."
A John Deere 8R Series tractor was available for these individuals to climb into for a sense of perspective, as they could transition from the actual model to a computer simulator that showed the capabilities of the machine, according to the Star.
"Farmers get information now for a purchase they may make this year or maybe next year," an official with the show told the news source.
According to AgriNews, the show is the largest indoor farm show in Illinois and has earned the reputation of one of the best exhibitions in the country.
