Thousands of farmers from around the country are traveling to Decatur, Illinois for the annual Farm Progress Show, an event that showcases the latest advancements in agricultural technology while paying homage to the traditions of the industry, according to Hoosier Ag Today.
This year's show will feature a showcase of the new line of John Deere farm equipment, marking the largest release of products at one time for the agricultural giant. Though the outside of these machines may still look like the traditional vehicles, the improvements that were made inside are what sets the models apart, reported the news source.
While antique tractors and vintage models will be available for viewing at the show, the emphasis is placed on the new lines of products. John Deere will showcase its new technology that is available in the tractors, as farmers will be able to do everything from monitor the yield of the harvest to syncing the speed of two vehicles to operate simultaneously, according to Ag Today.
The Farm Progress Show will run for three days and features a variety of new technological advancements in the field along with in-depth looks at products from industry leaders, reported the Show's website.
