Advancements in farm equipment are helping in more ways than one, especially when it comes to a John Deere dealership in Indiana.
According to Ball State University's NewsLink Indiana, the Reynolds John Deere dealership, which is located in Muncie, Indiana, is having a rather good sales year. A number of factors have played into the dealership's positive outcome, including the low price of grain and developments in farm equipment.
"Our sales this year should be the best we've seen in the last three years," Craig Black, who is a sales representative with the dealership, told the news organization.
Furthermore, Black said he thinks the dealership will continue its successful run through the winter months, which traditionally are a busy time for them.
The positive year that the Reynolds dealership is having runs contrary to the overall results for the farm equipment industry. For example, John Deere & Co. has reported that sales for the company are down this year.
Furthermore, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers reported that tractor sales dropped in September by 24.3 percent when compared to the same month in 2008.
