Excavating Materials and Equipment (EME) Inc. had used John Deere construction equipment prior to making a new purchase of machines from the company, but this recent decision was influenced by fuel savings, according to Construction Equipment Guide.
After searching the market for the most durable and fuel-efficient models available, EME went with the John Deere K-Series Loaders and never looked back.
"With today’s economy and limited construction projects, EME strives to be as efficient and productive as possible when it comes to plant operations. Choosing the equipment that is so critical to keeping our blending operations running smoothly is an important one and a very large investment for us, so we certainly did our homework," Keith Prince, the vice president of EME, told Construction Equipment Guide.
The John Deere K-Series Loaders fit the bill for what EME wanted from its machinery, as this equipment would be able to move a large amount of material in a quick and fuel-efficient manner. Along with these benefits, Prince noted that they chose the specific models due to their immense power.
"The price was very competitive and the loaders came with more standard features than the other brands we were looking at," said Prince.
