John Deere announced on March 8 that customers can now use the JDLink ROI estimator to determine how effective the telematics solution can be. The tool quantifies the value of keeping machines connected to the JDLink system, which is designed to improve uptime and productivity.
"Renewing JDLink licenses and upgrading the hardware can be a significant expense depending on the size of your machine fleet," said Paul Garcia, product manager of John Deere WorkSight. "The return on investment calculation is intended to demonstrate the value of using JDLink to optimize our customers' operations."
When customers visit the JDLink ROI estimator website, they will be asked to provide information such as fuel cost, idle time and desired idle time reduction. Once this data is provided, individuals can calculate and quantify how much they can improve operations through the use of JDLink.
The JDLink machine monitoring system allows users to locate their machines, enable security and examine how their equipment is used throughout each work day. Its features include remote diagnostics, customized alerts and maintenance tracking.
JDLink is also designed to help individuals determine how they can improve uptime and productivity while reducing operational costs. Users can monitor engine hours, distances traveled, and fuel consumption through JDLink.
The tool can be accessed by visiting roilcalculator.deere.com. For more information on JDLink and all of its features, contact your local John Deere dealer or visit www.Deere.com.
