Local food, exhibits, beer and industry were celebrated at the event, which is located north of Chicago. The six-day fair brought residents from all over the state together for fun activities and discussions of regional politics, the news source reported.
People of all ages were in attendance, as there were several booths and exhibitions that were targeted towards younger individuals, according to the Herald.
The celebration also featured a John Deere exhibit, as local children could learn about the company's wide range of farm equipment through several informative pieces along with a large collection of agricultural toys, reported the news source.
A variety of equipment is available in new models from the agricultural giant, as the John Deere 7 Series Tractor and Z925A Mower are the latest versions of their products, according to the company website.
