All heritage tractor enthusiasts are being encouraged to participate in the 7th annual John Deere Heritage Tractor Parade and Show on Saturday, September 8. The owners of all brands and models are encouraged to register, and registration is free. The only requirement is that the equipment entered must be from 1970 or earlier.
"Visitors to the John Deere Pavilion that day will see some remarkable pieces of equipment on display and hear the stories and experiences of collectors," said Brigitte Tapscott, manager of the John Deere Attractions. "Heritage equipment fans are a very dedicated and passionate group of enthusiasts. This event is an opportunity for collectors to showcase their collections in a place where they will be surrounded by fans."
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the John Deere Pavilion on River Drive and proceed to 19th Street, then on to 5th Avenue, and down 12th Street. Afterward, the tractors will return to the Pavilion along River Drive, where they will be on display to the public until 4 p.m.
Deere initially entered the farm tractor business back in 1918, and it is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year with several events. Some of Deereās most iconic tractors will be on display throughout the year at the John Deere Tractor and Engine Museum, John Deere Pavilion, John Deere World Headquarters, and John Deere Forum.
