The annual Big Trucks event drew a large crowd in Avon Lake, Ohio, as residents from the surrounding areas came to see the massive machines that were part of the show, according to the Avon Lake Patch.
More than 1,000 parents and kids attended the Avon Lake Safety Center to see a collection of police, fire department and industrial vehicles that were part of the annual show. Children were able to climb all over the massive machines and ride them if they were accompanied by one of the owners, reported the news source.
The automobiles that were featured included a police car, fire truck, SWAT vehicle, jet skis Coast Guard transports, Army troop carriers, city service models and a multitude of John Deere heavy equipment that were used by several organizations in the local government, according to the Patch.
Another participant in the event was the local MetroHealth Hospital, which provided the show with a Life Flight helicopter that arrived from the airport and gave the spectators an up-close view of the machinery, according to the hospital website.
