The Montgomery State Farmers Market will host its first "Farmers Market Day Christmas" celebration in the Alabama capital, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.
The news source reported that there will be a significant amount of local food and fare available at the event, which is being help from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 17. The farmers market is located on Federal Drive, next to the Garrett Coliseum, and provides easy access for visiting families.
According to the Advertiser, the event will also feature Santa Claus on a used John Deere tractor, as St. Nick is scheduled to drive around the premises to provide entertainment to families.
The news source reported that the Farmers Market will be selling many holiday items, including poinsettias, baked goods, pecans, Bates turkeys, fresh wreaths and garlands for decorations, and all types of fresh produce including satsumas.
The Montgomery State Farmers Market is a place where visitors encounter a cafe, stocked garden center and areas devoted to a variety of crafts and local produce, according to the market's website.
