The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) announced today it will appear at the inaugural AG Connect exposition in January 2010, hosted by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
ASABE said it plans to co-locate its annual Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC) at the AG Connect Expo 2010, scheduled for January 13-15 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
ASABE will present its AE50 awards at the show to recognize the best products in agricultural, food and biological systems being made available commercially for the first time.
"AG Connect is a natural home for ASABEs Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference, which provides a forum for the efficient exchange of technical information related to agricultural equipment research and development," said Melissa Moore, executive vice president of ASABE.
ASABE develops standards for agricultural equipment design, testing, and safe operation. It works to advance efficient and environmentally sensitive methods of producing food, fiber, timber, and renewable energy sources, according to a release.
AEM is the international trade group representing the off-road equipment manufacturing industry, representing more than 800 companies in the agriculture, construction, forestry, mining and utility industries.
